LONG LAKE COMMITTEES

Watershed Protection and Enhancement Committee

Chair: Wayne Sabatke

This committee addresses efforts to protect and enhance the watershed by working on and advocating policy strategies that:

Improve Compliance with Existing Resource Related Regulations
Minimize Development Impacts Through Zoning and Subdivision Standards
Promote Long Lake Area Resource Reserves and Corridor System

This committee also carries out resource improvement strategies that will benefit the lake and the watershed by:

Creating a Prioritized Inventory of Impaired Shorelands and Fisheries Habitat
Formulating Specific Restoration Strategies for High Priority Restoration Sites
Increasing Tree and Shrub Planting Efforts
